My Hijab Story -- written by A.R.M.

As we stand tall to celebrate the HIJAB today, I wish to dedicate this to my beautiful sisters worldwide who stand in defence of Islam, the Quran and the Sunnah of the noble Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). To start with, the word ‘Hijab’ means a form of garment or a veil that covers the sensitive parts of a female body, like the breast, buttocks etc., depending on the length of the Hijab.
Basically, the use of Hijab is a command from Allah (S.W.T), the creator of the heaven and the earth-- (Q33 vs 59). Hijab is what differentiate a Muslim lady from non – Muslim lady, it also represents the symbol of Islam. Hijab is unique because it present you in a way that make people respect and cherish you for who you are. Sisters’
#Hijab is our right.
Hijab is our pride.
Hijab is our shield.
Hijab is halal.
Hijab is our beauty and our pride. It defines who we are.

And we wear it to please our creator, Allah (s.w.t), on all the believing women. Hijab is good because it helps reduce the evils on earth. For a Muslimah (a Muslim lady), the word Hijab is accompanied with a lot of responsibilities.
Firstly, it takes a lot of confidence and high self-esteem to pull on the Hijab in the kind of world we live today! The ‘’world’’ believes that Hijab is an oppression on women; that it is forced on them without their own will. As for me, I think religion is not by force, although to some people the use of Hijab is not necessary but left to me and the Sunnah it is compulsory. If you come across any one putting on the Hijab you should really appreciate such courage and believe.  Trust me the wearing of Hijab is not an easy task.
Secondly, Hijab helps you to find your place in life, it makes you discover who you truly are because the use of Hijab saves you from distraction and unnecessary attention. When you walk with your beautiful garment known as Hijab, people will respect you in the society and also expect you to do no wrong just like the queen of England “does no wrong”. I just want to make this point clear to the world that wearing the beautiful garment known as Hijab does not represent the symbol of perfection simply because no one is perfect. The Hijab is a representation of dignity and a symbol of modesty.
I am human just like every other woman in the world, so if I make a mistake I’ll expect you to put the blame on me not Islam. In other words, people should stop attributing my mistakes to my religion like “that is how they are”.  No, my Islam is a religion of peace and perfection. Islam is perfect, but I’m not. Hijab is more than just putting a veil over your head, I think people need not to be more than just religious but also righteous and godly and stop making society seeing the Hijabites as hypocrites.

We need to go deep into our religion to understand it before putting it to practice. I have observed that lot of youths these days who wear the Hijab wear it because of their folk’s pressure. Parents should not only force Hijab on their children, they should also try as much as they could to explain to them about the reasons, benefits and responsibilities behind the use of Hijab.  In the light of the above discussion, the fear of Allah is what everyone should have in mind.
Sisters should not only be religious but also strive towards righteousness. Hypocrisy will not make you fill great but instead it makes you fool yourself. You are the best sister in the mosque, who engages in mosque activities but at the same time you are also the one who insults everyone at home, you are careless and rude. Oh sister, daughters of Islam veil yourself and become modest.

In conclusion, Islam is a guided religion which has clear principles. It is simple, it is a way of life, and it is a nice religion. It is the food for life and the melody to your socialization. Sisters, let us keep on with the right attitude and we‘ll reach the great altitude IN-SHA-ALLAH.

The Helpers of The Deen are 91 years old

Ever since I was a kid I had known of that great and versatile group of Muslims called the Ansar-u-deen. Their impact has always been felt by the young and old in every nook and cranny of Nigeria. Identified by their national colour of white and green, the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria has gained its uniqueness through immense contribution to the Ummah of Islam. On the 21st of December, 1923, about 43 concerned brothers met in a small house on Balogun Street of Lagos Island and discussed strategies of helping the Muslim Ummah out of the irrational enslavement principles of the Christian missionaries. The germane question then was “Who would help this deen?” So the name Helpers-of-the-deen was just suitable.

At that time, the Christian missionaries have bombarded the country carrying the bible on one hand and education on the other hand. If anyone would go to school, he or she had to convert to Christianity with or without their wish. This forceful conversion process and crude methodology made education a monopoly of the Christians at that time in Nigeria. If anyone would escape the sword of forceful Christianisation, then he has to feign Christian, drop his or her Muslim name(s) and ‘play’ along. This scenario saw many Muslims convert to Christianity after continuous and gradual baptism of their subconscious.
The world court judge and respected educationist, Justice Abduljabbar Bola Ajibola was a victim of this. When he went to enrol, he was met with that kind of “No Place for Muslims here” response and was given the only two available options. Drop your Muslim name and get education or keep the name and go back home. Of course, he went back home but later made the sacrifice of dropping his Muslim name. Today the whole world knows him as Justice Bola Ajibola but Alhamdulillah he has kept faith in his Lord, Allah (SWT). He is also the founder of the outstanding Islamic university, Crescent University in Ogun State. Rasheed Akinjide now Richard Akinjide is also not an exception to this. But it seems he finally jumped the fence and turned apostate to the deen of Allah. Allahu-l-musta’an. We pray to Allah to guide him back to the path of salvation.

One of the numerous mosque projects of Ansarudeen

With all these in mind, Ansarudeen started tackling the educational challenges of the Ummah by establishing the first Ansarudeen Grammar School in Lagos. They also established the first two Teachers’ Training Colleges in Nigeria. They gradually took the da’wah mission to the northern part of the country and liberated a lot of Muslims. Today, the tentacles of the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria has spread nationwide and there is virtually no place in Nigeria you wouldn’t find their impact. It’s either a big mosque or school or some other laudable structures. This can be found even in Christian dominated places like Ekiti in South-West Nigeria and South-Eastern states of the country. With over 1500 schools, over 120 local and central mosques and branches in many countries abroad, Ansarudeen has made a mark worth of celebration.
Cheers to the founding fathers as we pray Allah continues to forgive their short comings and shower mercy upon them till the day of recompense.

Hurray! The Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria is 91!

Teaching Kids How to Pray

Have you taken care to training your kids the steps to pray to their Lord?
Remember, Allah owns them and gave them to you as gifts.
You are therefore responsible for making them connected to their original owners.

At an early stage, numerous kids can recite the five(5) pillars of the deen and also some few chapters of the Qur'an, especially the short one. But, how many kids can actually pray as required.

This task can be easily done if you repeatedly put them beside you when you pray and take out time to explain each step to them. They will learn it and you will surely be surprised about how fast they can understand the essence of Salah.
May Allah make it easy....

In Need of a Protector

PEACE!
First amongst the moral and psychological need of human is the need for Protection.
Seeking protection has been linked to so many false deities in our world today.
People all over the world, have been found hanging physical materials in their houses, cars and even on their bodies.
It is a great act of Shirk (DISBELIEVE) to attribute to other things the qualities that belong to Allah (SWT).
Remember that Allah is Al-Muhaymin which means PROTECTOR & OVERSEER of everything.
He is capable and He is the ONLY ONE that is TRULY capable of protecting and overseeing us and our affairs. Please Share this and subscribe for our Dawah Updates..

DEFINITION OF TRUE LOVE

Have you ever been asked this question, 'Do you LOVE the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh)' ?
Obviously, a couple of times. Your answers would have been YES!. An affirmative YES! I guess.
But it's good question to ask you how sincere you are with that answer,
True Love for the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) can be directly linked to liking what he liked and disliking what he prohibited for us. And that's finally TRUE LOVE..
Sheikh Abduraheem Green has a different opinion about the answers we give to that question.
Here is what he says... What's your view about this?
